Ingredients
1 ½cupscooked garbanzo beans
⅓cupmaple syrup
2tablespoonsblackstrap molasses
3teaspoonsground ginger
¼teaspoonground cloves, more to taste
½teaspoonground cinnamon
large pinch sea salt
Instructions
Place beans in the bowl of a food processor and pulse until crumbly.
Add remaining ingredients and grind until the mixture is smooth. Scrape into a serving bowl.
Serve immediately or reserve in the refrigerator for up to three days.
Notes
You can lacto-ferment this dip by stirring in 2 tablespoons fresh whey from yogurt or milk kefir. Make the good even better! The flavor doesn't change, but you'll increase the gut-healing probiotic goodness.
