A savory vegetarian bouillon powder that a dead ringer for chicken bouillon, except it's made entirely of herbs and spices. This is a variation of the Vegetable Broth Powder in my book, The DIY Pantry.

Ingredients
1cupnutritional yeast
2tablespoonssea salt
2tablespoonsonion powder
1teaspoongarlic powder
1tablespoondried dill
1tablespoondried parsley
1teaspoonground turmeric
1teaspoondried basil
1teaspoondried thyme
½teaspooncelery seed
Instructions
Whisk all ingredients together in a small bowl.
For a powder, place all ingredients in a spice grinder or a small blender and pulse until a powder has formed. Let the dust settle before opening the grinder.
Store in an airtight container for up to 12 months.
To use:
Use 1 scant teaspoon of bouillon powder for every cup of water.
Notes
Homemade bouillon powder is very customizable! Feel free to switch up the spices to taste. Just don't change the nutritional yeast - that's what gives it its savory, chicken-y flavor.
