(Yes. We're breathing a sigh of relief too.)
The meal planning resource you've been looking for...
"Every product I've purchased from Nourishing Joy has been incredible. Kresha overdelivers every time."
Just imagine how it would feel if you could...
Eating is universal, so making meals is pretty universal too.
So what makes our Toolkit of meal planning resources so different - and so valuable?
IT FOCUSES ON YOUR UNIQUE STRENGTHS.
There's tons of advice out there about how to meal plan, but so much of it feels like throwing darts at a wall - because what works for one person won't necessarily work for you.
So we've including a quietly revolutionary Quick Start Guide on how to identify YOUR natural meal planning strengths and choose meal planning methods that work naturally with how your brain organizes information.
Then, you can choose whichever printables and resources inside the Toolkit match your style so that meal planning truly DOES feel like it comes naturally. :)
And when we say it's "quietly revolutionary," we're not kidding! We developed our meal planning "types" based on studies in behavorial neuroscience, cognitive psychology, and the Jungian psychological theory of Personality Types.
Basically, if you like the Myers-Briggs types, you'll LOVE the Meal Planning Toolkit. 😊
With four different in-depth resources, it includes nearly 300+ pages of printables, references, organizers, ready-made meal plans for meals-to-go, and much more.
Different brains work different ways - some of us like lists, some of us like mindmaps, and some of us find ourselves scribbling notes around the margins.
So our planning tools account for the different ways people think, plan, and problem solve, and you get to use whichever ones work best for you.
Or, if you're like us, print a different one each week, just to try them all. 😊
Even though we're all about healthy eating, we're also big believers that just because you meal plan, that doesn't mean you *have* to cook from scratch. Our meal planning tools let you plan whatever you'd like - the whole point is to simply PLAN, whatever that plan may be.
IT PROVIDES CLARITY.
The reason we meal plan is to SIMPLIFY the process of making meals.
But you can't simplify anything if you don't get clear on what "getting meals on the table" actually means to you and what roadblocks tend to get in your way.
So our tools help you keep track of your favorite recipes and restaurants, provide ready-made shopping lists, and organize your meals in ways that make sense to YOU, so you can make sure you take care of the important details and forget the rest.
IT INCLUDES TOOLS & RESOURCES NOT FOUND ANYWHERE ELSE.
While it IS packed with meal planning sheets, shopping lists, and other standard meal planning tools (in our classy, ink-friendly designs, of course 😉), there are a few tools we've designed completely from the ground up:
Instant Pot® cook time reference. Using a pressure cooker is a super-simple way to cook healthy food in a reduced amount of time - and it's no surprise that it's become so popular. However, figuring out how LONG to cook various foods in a pressure cooker can be darn difficult, so we've included an in-depth, comprehensive, at-a-glance reference chart to help you use your Instant Pot®, other multi-cooker, or pressure cooker easily.
Long-term sale tracker. This unique tool will be one of your secret weapons to becoming a grocery ninja. By using this tracker, you'll start to see patterns emerge in your local stores so you can anticipate and take advantage of their best sales and deals.
10-Minute Asset Inventory. This isn't your run-of-the-mill pantry inventory - those are cumbersome and out-of-date about 10 minutes after you fill them in. Our unique Asset Inventory is simply designed to help you know the aces in your pocket and gives you a serious head-start whenever you plan your meals.
Confession: I used to SHUDDER at the very idea of meal planning.
Food is my love language and I've always loved to cook according to mood, taking my inspiration from the weather or whatever crossed my mind. To me, writing meals down was the equivalent of hog-tying me to a fence post. No fun, and just as restrictive.
And because I didn't know what was for dinner on any given day, we usually ended up eating around 9:00 or 10:00 each night. That was all fine when it was just my husband and me. In fact, we rather liked it. We joked that it made us reminisce about our times spent abroad. :)
But then we had a child, then two, then four. And suddenly, if we hadn't had dinner by the time one of the two-year-olds decided he was done with the day, dinnertime chaos became bedtime chaos became no-one-had-enough-sleep morning time chaos.
So it was for our whole FAMILY's sanity that meals be prepared MUCH more intentionally.
Which meant I had to learn how to meal plan.
As I started planning our meals, however, it suddenly dawned on me: meal plans weren't a contract, where once I wrote a meal down on a line it was like being set in concrete. Meal planning was simply making a safety net!
In the decade since that time, meal planning has become my secret weapon for everything from quick school morning breakfasts to hosting Thanksgiving for 24.
The simple act of planning meals ahead has been both liberating and empowering and has given me time and space to pour myself into other (more delightful) endeavors.
I've created this Toolkit to make it possible for you to experience the same delightful freedom. ❤️

Instant Pot®, Freezer, and Other Kitchen References
Pressure cooking has once again become a very popular way to cook, largely because it's a super-simple way to cook healthy food in a reduced amount of time. However, it's often time-consuming or difficult to find consistent information on how LONG to cook various foods in a pressure cooker so you can plan ahead, so we've included 25 pages of reference guides to help you use your Instant Pot®, other multi-cooker, or pressure cooker easily.
Likewise, freezing food is a smart and economical way to buy in bulk, preserve vegetables at the peak of their freshness, or make meals ahead. But how long does food stay good in the freezer? With this chart, you've got the ultimate cheatsheet, and with the unique freezer inventory log, you'll be able to see at a glance what's inside and remember exactly how many batches of meatballs you prepared and froze last December (and how many you've used since then).

The Meal Planning Toolkit can easily be used by anyone!
At Ethical Green Living, we focus heavily on resources that help busy parents manage their bustling households, but this Meal Planning Toolkit can be easily used by anyone who wants to better organize their meals and make meal planning SIMPLER.
Definitely not! While we think that our quick start guide to help you discover your natural meal planning strengths is a pretty wonderful feature of the Toolkit, you can DEFINITELY use the resources even if you skip the quick start guide all together.
And even if you do use the quick start guide to help you identify your strengths, you still don't need to know your Myers-Briggs type. We provide links if you *want* to, but there's definitely no need to know it to use our tools and resources.
The resources inside the Meal Planning Toolkit are entirely digital. You will receive an email immediately following your purchase with links to download each resource. You may save these files on your device or computer and you may print them on a home printer or send them to be printed at a commercial print shop.
Because of the variety of resources included, there is no physical copy of the Meal Planning Toolkit available. No physical items will be sent to you. Everything will arrive digitally via email.
However, once you download the digital files, you are welcome to print as many copies for your own personal use as you so desire. The printables in particular are specifically designed to be printed and used over and over again.
We definitely think so! In fact, at $29 we've priced it far below its actual value during this special promotion because we're so incredibly passionate about helping busy people to take the stress out of making meals. Most of us make meals several times a day, so it shouldn't induce either drudgery or dread.
Thus, we've created a system that can help you meal plan YOUR way - in a way that feels natural to you and that sets you up for long-term success.
No. Because the Toolkit is already being offered at a significant discount, there are no additional discounts available.
We are confident that the Meal Planning Toolkit will more than prove its value as soon as you use it, but if for any reason you are not satisfied, let us know! We provide a 30-day Happiness Guarantee.
"I've tried meal planning several times but never found a method that stuck for long, and making dinner was always my least favorite part of the day. But the printables in the Meal Planning Toolkit have been a life-saver! I actually look forward to making my meal plans now - my daughter even sits with me and scribbles her own 'meal plan' along with me!"

THESE MEAL PLANS ARE ESSENTIAL IF...
WHAT DO THE MEAL PLANS INCLUDE?
WHAT MAKES THESE MEAL PLANS DIFFERENT THAN OTHER MEAL PLANS OUT THERE?
Detailed prep options. The best remedy for stress at dinnertime is intentional planning and preparation, so prep options are written right into every recipe. That way you can prep as little or as much as you like, whenever it works for you.
This feature comes from my many years of working in fine dining resturants, where every shift begins with all ingredients chopped, mixed, and ready. In a restaurant, when a customer places an order, the chef isn't back in the kitchen chopping the onions or mincing the garlic - all of that was done hours previously. That way, the meal can be cooked quickly and efficiently and served while it's still at the perfect temperature. The idea works equally well in the home kitchen - whatever you can prep ahead makes meal time SO much simpler.
100% real food. Our recipes are developed around the idea that our bodies shouldn't ingest processed anything - at least when it comes to our food. So we use whole foods every time.
Note: We do make exception for things like canned tomatoes and dried pasta. If those are not ingredients you consider to be foods you'd like in your home, these meal plans won't fit you well.
Weekly Dread Day recipes. Each week we include one "Dread Day" meal, which is a meal that can be on the table in less than 15 minutes from walking in the door. These recipes do often include prep that needs to be done earlier, but nonetheless, they're perfect solutions to have a quick meal ready on a particularly busy evening or a night when everyone needs to eat at different times.
Comprehensive, yet flexible. Our meal plans provide nearly everything you need to plan all your meals every week, yet allow you to pick and choose how you want to use them. Also, since our recipes use whole foods and mostly single ingredients, most recipes allow for easy substitutions whenever you need to swap ingredients due to dietary restrictions or lifestyle choices. Most done-for-you meal plans don't allow for this level of customizability.
Family activities. Whether it happens around the table or outside of the house, time together forges strong family relationships. So we provide one theme meal that's meant to be entirely fun AND 1-2 family activities to easily spend time laughing together.
I AM ALLERGIC TO PEANUTS/TREE NUTS/STRAWBERRIES/SHELLFISH/EGGS/SOY AND EAT KOSHER/VEGETARAIN/GRAIN-FREE/DAIRY-FREE. CAN I STILL USE THE MEAL PLANS?
Like all recipes in our books and at NourishingJoy.com, the one criteria for our recipes is 100% real food and no industrially processed anything.
That said, many of the recipes DO fit the above criteria, but they’re not created with that in mind, so not EVERY recipe will be grain-free or be kosher or whatever your specific need may be.
Again, we aim to provide real food recipes that make it easy for families to not rely on boxed, canned, and processed ingredients, but to use fresh, easy-to-find ingredients.
