My daughter is in kindergarten and it's the time of year when all the kids make Valentines at home and bring them to school to drop in each other's Valentine boxes. My daughter is the kind of kid who loves art projects and who adores being in school, so needless to say, this is her favorite. homework. assignment. EVER. The fact that she gets to make a Valentine for everyone in her class is icing on the cake. Needless to say, I've been spending quite a bit of time lately looking for frugal, creative ways to make simple, heartfelt cards, both to expedite the process and to give her ideas.
In the process, I've run across SO many crafty sites with fabulous gift ideas. I'm a firm believer that giving small heartfelt gifts is one of the best ways to make a person feel valued and appreciated – whether a person is a new acquaintance, a friend of many decades, or even your child or your spouse, small gifts can be a way to honor that person, encourage them, and make them feel downright special. However, I've never been particularly creative in the craft-making realm, so I've often hesitated when it came to gift-giving opportunities. However, I'm now re-inspired and I hope you will be too.
