The Natural Mothering eBook Bundle Sale - June 10-17 | NourishingJoy.com

Have you ever wished motherhood came with a manual?

I sure have.

I remember well those early days when we brought our first child home from the hospital. She was so tiny! She was amazing and snuggly and flesh of my flesh. I remember sitting together in the sun being so immensely grateful that this tiny bundle had been entrusted to her daddy and me.

But as she and I spent our days snuggled up in our overstuffed recliner, I tried to rein in my reeling mind and wrap my head around the fact that I was now a MOM – I had wanted it for so long, but now that it had happened, there was this vast sense of grief and fear and excitement that life would never be the same. Sure, I was confident in my ability to care for her, but the depth of swirling post-partum emotions made the days into a haze.

She also cried a lot.

I passed it off because, well… babies cry. That's what they do.

But when she had barely regained her birth weight after six weeks, our doctor finally insisted she be taken to a specialist. That pediatrician took one look at her, told me I was starving her, and adamantly insisted we supplement with formula. I was very reluctant, but I hadn’t done any research and knew no alternatives, so we obediently went out and purchased formula for well over a year.

It turns out that my milk supply was low, which could have been “fixed” with a little help, but we had been taught in our breastfeeding class that, “Don't worry. You'll never really know how much milk your baby is getting, but if you just keep feeding, your baby will get enough.” We were never taught HOW to listen to see if the baby was getting enough milk to swallow or to look for signs of contentment after a feed.

So, naively, I didn't know I was starving my poor precious child and she was crying because she was hungry. That first night after I supplemented her, she cooed on the change table instead of wailed and my heart sank knowing that it was my lack of knowledge and experience that had kept her from growing as she should.

It was then that I launched into learning everything I could about natural and intentional mothering. Of course, we'll never know it all (thanks be to God!) and part of the grace of mothering is being able to weather the storms patiently and wisely – whether it's healing from the pain of infertility, figuring out what to do about vaccines, dealing with whiny toddlers, teaching our kids manners and thoughtfulness, or how to deal with the kids your teenagers bring home – but all in all, I have wished time and time again for a manual to deal with it all.

That's why I got the idea to pull together some of my favorite resources and offer them to the world. I am so absolutely passionate about raising my children in a healthy home – in every sense that that can be  – and about equipping other mothers to make thoughtful decisions that are right for THEIR own families.

The Natural Mothering eBook Bundle is a collection of 39 e-books and nearly $200 of free and discounted products designed specifically for today's mother who wants to be thoughtful and intentional as she raises her children. It's the manual I wish *I* had had seven years ago when I started my mothering journey.

I've specifically created it to cover the chronological gambit we start with healing from infertility (physically, spiritually, and mentally), then cover healthy pregnancies and giving birth. We cover breastfeeding and caring for newborns, then nourishing our children through whole foods, diapering and potty training, keeping them healthy as they grow and healing them when they fall ill, teaching them skills like chores and cooking and table etiquette, as well as teaching them bigger life lessons, and exposing them to as few chemicals as possible through things like skincare and cleaning products.

And of course, since I'm also passionate about infusing everyday life with deep joy and about caring for OURSELVES as mothers, there's a healthy dose of joyful grace and help for busy mamas woven in amongst the books and resources.

(And I must admit – I'm very excited! I've spent months hand-picking every single resource here and I'm thrilled that I finally get to offer them to you!)

And more than anything, I want this to be affordable. These resources aren't for everyone, so if that's you, feel free to skip the rest of this post, but for those will benefit from them, I've worked with the authors and businesses who are included so that we can offer it to you at nearly a 95% discount – that's more than $525 worth of books (PLUS the nearly $200 in bonus resources) for only $29.97.

It's definitely worth a look if you are a mother, know a mother, or are needing a baby shower gift in the near future! Even if you're only interested in 1-2 books or 1-2 of the bonus resources, the price is generally worth it.

And I am so grateful that more than 200 authors, websites, and businesses have joined me in getting these resources out to mothers everywhere. It is my deep prayer that each and every mother will be inspired by these resources and feel confident and equipped in her holy, joyful work of raising her children.
